Seals Football – State Champs

I made the trip to Hershey for the PIAA State Championship game between my alma mater, Selinsgrove High School, and Manheim Central. I was able to get onto the sidelines to get some great stills and video. I used the Canon 7D to shoot some really amazing footage as the Seals took the lead late in the game and won the state crown.

Now you can relive the final moments as I saw them from the sidelines and on the field. You won’t see this on TV!

    Rob-
Thanks for the GREAT footage. As a strength and conditioning coach for the Seals, I personally took great satisfaction in these kids’ success. In fact, up until now, this experience has been far and away the best thing I’ve ever encountered. There was a level of emotion that I’ve never felt come over me and you caught it on video, and I know many others on the field could say the same. In closing, it’s a small world, I go to Wesley United Methodist Church, my sister is Kelly and parents are Dave and Linda, I know, it’s been probably over 20 years since we’ve seen one another. Thanks again, Mike

Thanks for the note, Mike. It was a blast being there and I know from my experience in the TV business that we live in a special technological time. There would have been no way for regular folks to capture this kind of emotion on video when I was in high school. I love being a fly on the wall for these kinds of things because I know how much it means to the people involved. Glad it turned into a dramatic win!
